Capturing Moments before the Ceremony

Sorry I've been away so long. It has been an incredible Wedding season thus far this year. When I begin to feel tired and stressed out I have to remind myself how blessed I am to have this many Brides trust me with one of the most important days of their lives.

In this business you continue to learn. At every wedding I find out alittle more about myself and about my craft. It is becoming more frequent that the Bride and Groom are seeing each other before the ceremony. I used to think that was a terrible thing but I've come to realize that it is truly the way to go. It takes away the jitters, it keeps us from having to rush photos after the ceremony and most of all it allows us to capture some incredible photos in and around our venue which we would otherwise not be able to do. The couple is more relaxed and able to have some fun and not worrying about getting to the reception.

"Sparklers"

It has become very popular for Brides and Grooms to make their final farewell by running through sparklers. 411...... That stands for Information........ Since I capture alot of these exits I want to share with you some tips for having great photos when using sparklers.

  1. Have your guest line up with lighter in hand.
  2. Make sure that the sparklers you purchase DO NOT have paper of any kind around them.
  3. Make sure you purchase the "pro" sparklers that are like 18" long
  4. Have your guests light the sparklers at the same time and then let them burn off for approximately a minute prior to running out.
  5. If you fail to do these things you might look like a smoke cloud. See Photo. Although we can do wonders in photoshop you don't want to chock while trying to get into the limo.
